Swings, grip, American vs. foreign films

Arm Bars

16kg swings, alternating left, right, two hand whenever needed:
150x1, 50x1 in 8 minutes. 200 total. Stopped when my back tightened up slightly.

COC#1: 4 closes left, held last rep for 17 seconds.
8 closes right, held for 14 seconds

Lots of sledge levers from every angle
I took two leaves out of our kitchen table and did some isometric pinches, holding them together.
3x10 seconds.

This weekend, I watched a Swedish movie, Let The Right One In. It's not a lot of fun, but it was very affecting.

I've gotten pretty tired of Hollywood--even many of the best American films are still predictable because they're all made by the same machine. Too many remakes, too much lowest common denominator plots, too many special effects masquerading as plots.

A mediocre foreign film can still surprise me by being better than some great American films, simply because they're made by a different engine that isn't tied to our expectations or dollars. Unnerving but beautiful--can't recommend highly enough if you're looking for something different that will stick with you for a while.
